Outplacement

Meet Our Corporate Outplacement Team:

Most outplacement companies assign a single coach to a candidate's campaign. These single individuals are responsible for all work performed on behalf of their candidate. At Stewart, Cooper & Coon Corporate Outplacement, we take a very different approach. We employ an entire team of professionals, up to nine people actually, who will work on a candidate's job search campaign, at any given point.

As you compare us with other companies, ask who will actually work on a candidate's campaign. Then ask yourself would your outplaced executives want one person or an entire team to see that their needs are met. At SC&C, the team for each candidate consists of the following members:

  • Campaign Director - The "quarterback" who is responsible for a candidate's overall campaign success. Our CD's have senior level backgrounds in Fortune 1,000 companies and the public sector as well with an average of over 15 years of experience in the recruiting or executive transition fields.
  • Professional Resume Writer - We have only nationally certified writers. At most outplacement companies, either the coach writes the actual OR, in most cases, they simply guide the candidate through the process. When it comes to documenting and packaging a candidate, your candidates deserve only the very best.
  • Proofing Specialist - Our staff of professionals carefully proof and edit all documents before publication. We do this because one never gets a second chance to make a good first impression. If our candidates' documents contain errors, they will be perceived as careless. Our proofing team, are seasoned editors and professional writers, determined to present our candidates to the world error-free.
  • WebFolio™ Designers - We develop a personal Web site for each candidate that is quick to read and presents their stories in depth. By unanimous acclaim of our clients AND corporate recruiters, this SC&C exclusive service is a major contributor to the high number of placement successes we enjoy at Stewart, Cooper & Coon. Additional feedback, over and over again, is that our WebFolio™ not only assists in helping to secure the candidate a new position but it is a powerful tool in helping them totally eliminate the others against whom they are competing. Take a look at some examples of a WebFolio™
  • Process Administrators - At least two members of our administrative team ensure that a candidate is carefully monitored, that their progress is tracked, and their paperwork and administrative follow through is fully expedited from the beginning of each search to a successful conclusion.
  • Posting and Distribution Specialist - Unlike other companies we have a team who offers technical insight on job board postings, listings of popular and beneficial job boards, as well as information regarding how to keep your information current. We also distribute their credentials to retained recruiters we are in contact with through the Stewart, Cooper & Coon Recruiting Division and through our exclusive database of over 13,000 recruiters nationwide. Those that are appropriate to the candidate's work history and geographical target interests will be sent a copy of the candidate's resume and cover letter. Also, the candidate's resume is shared with associate recruiters from Top Echelon, a national recruiter consortium of over 2,000 executive recruiters nationwide, of whom which we are a preferred member.
  • Research Specialist - Many outplacement companies tap into a database and provide the candidate a list of companies or allow them to enter their own databases and print out a list, hoping that the research is fruitful. At the Stewart, Cooper & Coon Research Division, a research specialist is assigned to each candidate. Their sole purpose is to provide target companies that meet their personal search criteria of the candidate. Targets are then developed in concert with the Campaign Director. We make use of powerful and comprehensive databases of corporations, associations, venture capital firms, public entities, and other sectors to explore as you develop your career strategy. The assigned staff will carefully prepare this list and suggest possibilities the candidate may not have previously considered.
  • Candiate Marketing Specialist - Each candidate has an assigned Candidate Marketing Specialist team working on their campaign and calling the target companies on their behalf. They have only one purpose in mind. They call the target companies where the candidate wishes to work and exposes their candidacy to the hiring authority at those companies in an effort to secure interviews for the candidate.
  • Senior Staff Oversight - Members of our senior staff and executive committee monitor assigned campaigns personally and provide behind the scenes input to the Campaign Director on strategic direction and other considerations.
