"Product" Positioning Strategies

All products must be marketed. But before investments are made in comprehensive marketing strategies, the product must be positioned properly. Positioning strategies vary widely between one seeking employment in the same field and one who seeks to change careers. Upward career movement demands that you properly position yourself. This requires an understanding of the past and a vision for the future. Let our team work with you to develop a clear understanding of both.

History / Trends / Patterns

We are interested in both your "resident" and transferable core competencies. We will review your pattern of changes and the underlying causes for them. We wish to ensure that you have a "story" that not only explains the moves but also creates added value for you as a candidate. You and your Campaign Director will work on these issues as a first step in your "branding" process.

Past Successes / Failures

You have had both successes and failures. Your successes must be presented so that they create added value. Your failures must be presented in such a way as to strengthen your candidacy. Doing these two things will help you eliminate your competition in the interview process. Our clients receive larger offers and packages because they understand how to successfully integrate both of these into their "brand" description.

Defining the "Product"

You are a product. You must be able to demonstrate your skills, abilities, background experiences, education, and more. Your competitors are also products, driven by the same criteria. Why does a company choose you over them or vice versa? To be chosen, the company must understand the value of your "brand" over that of your competitors.’ Your "brand" is comprised of your value propositions, core competencies, transferable skills and most importantly, your EQ--the methods by which you solve and manage problems and people. Our clients can easily demonstrate all of these and more.
